What Will They Say About Me When I Die?
A reaction to a Medium post
After reading Agnes Louis’s very touching post (see below)on the loss of her mother and her reflections on what she would be remembered for, I felt the urge to answer the questions Agnes posed at the end of her post which were, when we die
What do we want to leave behind?
What will we leave behind?
And the first line that came to mind was
What Will They Say about Me when I Die? And so I wrote the following lines
What Will They Say about Me when I Die?
Was good for a laugh
Always kind
An open ear
Sound words of advice
Did her best
Lived from plan A to B
And sometimes even C
Forever running after
Her dreams
Where they caught we wonder?
We heard she was something
of a medium writer
Never made the grade
As a tidy home keeper
But the door was always open
